FEATURES
IPC-T-50 Terms and Definitions for Interconnecting and Packaging Electronic Circuits This essential industry standard provides descriptions and illustrations of electronics interconnect industry terminology to help users and their customers break down language barriers. Revision
H contains over 200 new or revised terms, including new terminology for ball grid array and chip scale packaging, via protection, conductor patterns, assembly processes, base materials and selective plating processes. Also includes commonly used industry acronyms and an index of terms by technology types for easy searching.
Training & Reference Guides for PTH and SMT - Now Updated
With over 30,000 copies sold, the IPC Training & Reference Guides ("Desk Reference Manuals") are already an industry best-seller! These new Guides illustrate the critical acceptance criteria for evaluation of surface mount and through-hole solder connections - to the latest requirements of the IPC-A-610D and J-STD-001D.
At a compact 5.5 x 8.5 inch size, these convenient spiral-bound manuals make it easy for your inspectors and operators to make the right solder joint acceptance decisions - for all three classes of products.
Lead-free Alloy - The Real Story
IPC-SPVC2005-CD - Round Robin Testing and Analysis of Lead Free
Solder Pastes with Alloys of Tin, Silver and Copper
Do you want to know which lead free solder is recommended for our industry? Over the past three years, The IPC Solder Products Value Council (SPVC) invested the equivalent of one million dollars in volunteer time, equipment and supplies to come up with the answer. The SPVC analyzed three key lead free alloys: 96.5/3.0/0.5 tin/silver/copper; 95.5/3.8/0.7 tin/silver/copper; and 95.5/4.0/0.5 tin/silver/copper and the end result of the research is found in this report.
The successor to IPC-SM-782A is here!
IPC-7351 Generic Requirements for Surface Mount Land Pattern and Design Standard
The document covers land pattern design for all types of passive and active components, including resistors, capacitors, MELFs, SSOPs, TSSOPs, QFPs, BGAs, QFNs and SONs. The standard provides many brand new features, including an intelligent land pattern naming convention, zero component rotations for CAD systems, and a set of three separate land pattern geometries for each component that allows the user to select a land pattern based on desired component density. Also includes updates to existing sections addressing land pattern guidelines for wave or reflow soldering, via location guidelines, fiducials and courtyard boundaries.

The most popular global electronics assembly standards are now updated for lead-free!
IPC-J-STD-001D
Requirements for Soldered Electrical & Electronic Assemblies
Reformatted - easier to find acceptance criteria! IPC-J-STD-001D is
world-recognised as the sole industry-consensus standard covering soldering materials
and processes. This revision now includes support for lead-free manufacturing,
in addition to easier to understand criteria for materials, methods and verification
for producing quality soldered interconnections and assemblies. Full color illustrations
are provided for clarity.
IPC-A-610D
Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies
A must for all quality assurance and assembly departments, IPC-A-610D illustrates industry-accepted workmanship criteria for electronics assemblies through full-color photographs and illustrations. Topics include lead-free, component orientation and soldering criteria for through-hole, SMT and discrete wiring assemblies, mechanical assembly, cleaning, marking, coating, and laminate requirements. IPC-A-610 is
invaluable for all inspectors, operators and trainers. Revision D has 732 new and updated illustrations of acceptability criteria – many for lead-free - and has been critically reviewed for clarity and accuracy.
IPC-A-600G Acceptability of Printed Boards New Update!
The definitive illustrated guide to printed circuit board acceptability!
This four-color document provides photographs and illustrations of the target, acceptable and nonconforming conditions that are either internally or externally observable on bare printed boards. Make sure your operators, inspectors, and engineers have the most current industry consensus information.
The release of IPC-6012B, together with IPC-A-600G, represents an aggressive industry attempt to stay current with performance requirements of present technology. - Don Dupriest, Lockheed Martin
